| | Sitting in Connecticut With Kids Waiting for the Snow | | I'm a Connecticut resident, and I'm sitting in my home with my sons who have no school, because it was closed today, due to the storm. So far, there isn't an inch of snow on the ground from a storm that was supposed to start early this morning. As a mother I believe in safety first and would rather have the school close school when reports of a large storm are received. I just wish, that there was better technology for forecasting storms. With all of the modern inventions you'd think we'd have weather equipment that did a better job, and if you aren't sure what Mother Nature will do, say that in your forecast.Don't mind the storm missing us, means no shoveling. | |
| | The Haunting in Connecticut | | I just watched The Haunting in Connecticut. I have to say I was very impressed. I know a lot of what Hollywood added to the movie was false but the movie was awesome. I read some of the information about the actual story and found it very interesting. What did you guys think of this movie, and can you recommend any others? | |

| Could that be happen in "The haunting in connecticut"? | | I just recently saw a movie called "The haunting in Conneticut". A scary movie, with ghosts haunting back to a house. On the title, it was base on a true story. If you saw it, you might know what I am talking about here. Besides the doubt of existence of ghost, I just wonder a boy with cancer, after fighting with the possession of a ghost, and win the battle. All of the sudden, his cancer disappear, and become healthy again. It just make no sense, and it was so mysterious. Did you see that movie? Was it really base on a true story? | |
| | I regret watching "the Haunting in Connecticut" | | Okay, I admit that I am a big baby. Horror flicks are really not my thing. Anyway, I watched "The Haunting in Connecticut" the other day with my friends. At first it was really okay and actually quite interesting... but then when I got home I kept remembering all the gory images in the film. The freaky thing too is that the movie was somehow based on a real story! Eeeks. Anyway, my question is: do you like watching scary movies? and What is the scariest film that you have seen?[em]cry[/em] | |
| | The Haunting in Connecticut. | | Okay, so I kind of wanted to see this movie when it came out in theaters but never got around to it. Now, I am thinking about watching it on DVD. I am familiar with the story behind it. I'm just wondering if the movie is actually worth seeing. Have you seen it, and, if so, do you recommend it? What are some of the film's pros and cons? | |

| The Haunting In Connecticut... Any Good? | | So I've been debating about going to see this movie since before it came out. I'm a big horror fanatic but there hasn't ever been a movie in a long time that has really got me sitting in the edge of my seat truly enjoying it. I've seen the previews and it seems decent but I'm so worried that it is just going to end up like the movies American haunting etc. I've checked reviews and what not and it seems to be somewhere in the middle so I'm wondering for those of you who have seen the movie - is it worth paying the $9 to go see it in theaters or should I just wait to see it later? | |

| | Connecticut Gays can now get married. | | Another awesome win for the GLBT community. Today the connecticut Supreme Court ruled 4-3 that it was unconstitutional to deny the right to marry to same-sex couples, and that civil unions were unequal institutions of marriage.Source: http://www.advocate.com/news_detail_ektid63422.aspAlright Connecticut - that's one more state to open their eyes. Three down, 47 more to go. | |
