| | Former NBA guard Kenny Anderson graduates from college | | Kenny Anderson was a former high school phenomenon at New York and a former NBA guard playing for numerous teams. Anderson was drafted 2nd overall in the 1991 NBA Draft by the New Jersey Nets after playing 2 seasons with georgia tech. After retiring in 2005, Anderson was broke, loved cars and party, have 7 children with 5 different women, no money, and no diploma. On May 15, 2010, Anderson will finally be having his college degree in organizational leadership.Anderson now gives tips to basketball hopefuls but he himself hopes that he's going to coach somewhere soon. | |
| | 2009-10 College Football Preseason Predictions! | | As the 2009-10 College Football season approaches, It is safe to say that there will still not be a playoffs this year or for years to come. But, that does not take away the excitement, passion, and the tradition of rival games away from the sport itself. All the controversy behind the BCS computer ranking system, the polls, and Conference Presidents, Chancellors, and Commissioners is the reason why there will never be a playoff, and it is not OK! One main reason that there will be no playoffs is because several conferences had bowl deals before the BCS was created in 1998, which tells me that most schools will prefer to have a bowl game at the end of the year regardless on how good or bad thier season may have been, as long as they win 6 games. The problem is the elite conferences may get thier 3rd through 6th place teams in a bowl game from automatic bids over a Non BCS conference 1st and 2nd place team. What's really funny is the Non BCS conferences schools have to be good over a span of 4 years before they can be considered to play in a BCS Bowl game, schools like Utah and Boise State. My Picks
1. Oakland Raiders - JaMarcus Russell, QB, LSU
One thing Oakland has never had is a mobile quarterback that throws better than he can run. This would be a great pick for Oakland.
2. Detroit Lions - Troy Smith, QB, Ohio State
Troy Smith showed what he could do this year and has won the Heisman Trophy. I personally believe Russell is a better QB on a worse team right now so I think Troy Smith will be chosen 2nd.
3. Cleveland Browns - Aaron Ross, CB, Texas
Cleveland has a young QB, a veteran line, a productive RB, a tight end, and 3 good WR so now it is time to beef up the defense. Who better than the 2 time Jim Thorpe award winner.
4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Calvin Johnson, WR, Georgia Tech
I think Calvin Johnson will leave for the draft this year and do a great job in the draft. Tampa Bay has some Old receivers and its time to start a new Generation of them. I believe Johnson is the best receiver in the draft right now.
