| | cps in texas | | I needed to know about cps in texas, my brother and his wife were turned in by someone to cps here in tx, well cps went to the school today and pulled my 15yr old niece out for almost three hours asking her all these types of questions. My brother and his wife had no idea what was going on until my niece called them after school, the cps caseworker told my niece to tell her parents to expect a visit sometime within the next week. they have an 11 yr old boy as well that goes to the school across from his sister and they didn't go and talk to him.Don't the parents have to be notified either by the caseworker or the school itself, doesn't seem right that they can just go and pull this girl out of class for three hours. | |

| Do You Enjoy Playing Texas Holdem Poker? | | When my ex and I were still together we used to play poker with his family. It was normally a $5 buy-in and the winner took all but $10 and the player coming in 2nd got the $10. It was always a lot of fun. Tonight my ex hosted a Texas Holdem tournament and his uncle asked me if I wanted to play. I hadn't played in years so I welcomed the invite. I played 3 games and I lost all 3 times but I did come in 3rd place in 2 of the games, so I came close to winning something. It was so much fun and I really miss getting to do this. I hope I get to do it again sometime soon. Do you like playing Texas Holdem Poker? | |
| | Texas Longhorns! | | I grew up on a farm and I still love cattle! When I go to work somedays I take the way where I see Texas Longhorns out in a pasture! Some of the Longhorns have the realy long horns! They fasinate me! I don't know if the Longhorns are raised for feed or as pets. All I know is they are cool looking animals you don't see much in the state I live in!

| | Texas road trip | | Hey everybody!We're planning a Texas road trip in late March (or early April) in 2009 and i was hoping for some advice on.. well.. just about anything and everything! All the things we've perhaps not considered or even thought about. We're ignorant to western Texas And will appreciate any help & advice;)This will be our third road trip to the good 'ol USA. We love America! This all started back in 2006 when we spent almost 2 months seeing many parts of your country (Iowa, South Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Kansas, Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma and a couple more). Wow great times! Last year was a smaller adventure over 3 weeks, starting in Las Vegas, we did a circle that covered southern Utah/Colorado and parts of Arizona and New Mexico. This was a great vacation and we got to see some incredible places. One that stands out was R66 in northern Arizona with the Grand Canyon Caverns and lots of lovely town stops. Beats using the Interstate!!Anyhow, we racked up about 6,000 miles in 2006 and approx 2,000 last year. Good times! I heard on the news today that construction and Manufacturing jobs are down 27% the lowest in eons.
Last I heard 15 million Americans are unemployed and 38 million house holds are on food stamp benefits the highest in again eons.

I know most Americans want health care reform but do you have concerns that with our country borrowing from other counties just to pay the interest each month on money our country has already borrowed was this really the time to burden the American people with this 2,700 health care bill?
