| Yes, Virginia, fish DO have birthdays! | | Oh, father Christmas, do tell us true. Do fish have birthdays? Why yes, of course, little Virginia, fish have birthdays every year just like you do! And they have little fishy cakes and yummy fishy ice cream and even little fishy presents too! What's that you say? You know a fish who's 51 years old today?????? My goodness, Virginia, that's a pretty old fish. Someone must be taking very good care of that particular fish. Yes, father Christmas, there IS someone taking very good care of that fish. And not just one someone, but many someones! One shoos him off to bed, one spanks his bottom when he misbehaves, and one talks to him every day and that makes everyone very happy, father Christmas. And you know what's really cool, father Christmas? He reads US stories!! Yes, really, he does, he does. Wonderful stories and they make us feel all warm and gushy inside, just like we're all teddy bears or something. We love our fishy more than any other fish in the whole wide world. And his birthday is just the best day of the year! After all, it's the day he was born into this world and that was a very happy day indeed. Happy Birthday, little fish. I love you. | |
| | Does this seem a little hush hush to you? Another Virginia tech incident... | | It seems like many do not know of the last incident that happened in January of this year at virginia tech. A Chinese student was decapitated on the virginia tech campus by another student, in a campus cafe. Now this is the same place that got so much press back in 2007 with the shootings. I find it weird that mostly no one knows about this, you would think it would get more attention since there was violence there not long ago. The bus decapitation got so much attention, and this similar crime at a well known school did not get so much. I am sure the school did not want to lower their tuition much more, so they did not want the press (though who would). Have you heard about this? [b]BLACKSBURG, Virginia[/b] — A graduate student from China was decapitated with a kitchen knife in a campus cafe at Virginia Tech by another graduate student who knew her, police said Thursday.Xin Yang, 22, was killed Wednesday night after arriving at the campus from Beijing on Jan. 8 to begin studying accounting, Virginia Tech Police Chief Wendell Flinchum said.Her accused attacker, 25-year-old Haiyang Zhu of Ningbo, China, knew the victim but no motive for the slaying has been determined, Flinchum said. School records showed that Haiyang was listed as one of Xin’s emergency contacts.

| | Another Horrible Event at Virginia Tech | | Hi guys,There was a murder on the campus of VA Tech Wednesday night. A male student murdered a female student with an 8" kitchen knife, cutting her head off!
The police got there within 2 minutes of being called and when they got there, the guy was holding the girl's head in his hand! This is horrible!
Thank God they arrested him and he didn't kill anyone else, but the way he did it makes me sick! How barbaric!Please pray for VA Tech and the friends and family of this young woman. They say that the two knew each other and there was no arguement before he started butchering her.It's just so horrible! | |
